Charlotte is a specialist in Music and Playwork. For many years she has been a nursery teacher and has a passion for educating small people.

Peter is an accomplished musician with a talent for writing catchy tunes for little people to sing. He writes music for all kinds of projects alongside his job as a Head of Performing Arts and Music in York.
Singer, Ideas Consultant, Grammar Expert
Maya is always available to help generate ideas for Baby Band and loves to lay down vocal tracks alongside Charlotte. She also regularly checks new website content for grammatical errors.
Matilda is very 'hands on' in the business, checking the instruments are exciting and robust. She loves to shake and bang things.
David is an award winning musician and owner of Promenade Music. He has been part of the team from the very beginning supporting the business and supplying high quality instruments.
Berty has been the Baby Band mascot since the first logo design, bringing good vibes and cheery tweets. Berty is currently working on a story book to share with small people.
Baby Band is all about introducing little people to music and real instruments as soon as possible. We like to get live musicians in to play during classes whenever we can so they can see and experience the joy of music up close.

Catriona started learning the accordion and piano at a very early age before taking up the harp at the age of 11. For a long time she played with Irish reggae band Intinn, touring around Europe, and supporting the likes of the Skatalites and UB40. She has recorded and performed with a number of high calibre musicians in lots of different genres.
Greatest musical Achievement: Winning the title of best UK/Ireland reggae band with Intinn in 2010 and going on to place 2nd in Europe at the Rototom Sunsplash Festival in Spain.
Favourite children's song: Puff the Magic Dragon (though the ending gets me every time!)
Rachael is an accomplished musician, music teacher, Musical Director for Ryedale Youth Theatre Group and parent of 2 budding young performers. In 2018 she was a finalist at the UK Music Teacher Awards for Excellence and has recently been appointed as a Trustee for the York Music HUB.
Greatest musical achievement: Playing a concerto with the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra
Favourite children's song: Old MacDonald had a Farm
Ant is a fantastic singer/songwriter, pianist, guitarist and father. By day he works his educational magic as a primary school senior leader and by night he plays a leading role in the fabulous Maisie and the Thompsons.
Greatest musical achievement: Playing at Moonbeams festival
Favourite children's song: 'Lizard Song' by Nick Cope
Keri is a star brass instrument player, playing a mixture of brass instruments for over 17 years before settling on her favourite instrument, the Baritone, several years ago. Keri comes from a very musical background with most members of her family playing in brass bands. She has been a member of The Harrogate Brass Band since 2007.
Greatest musical achievement: Playing the beautiful solo Benedictus under the Menin Gate in Ypre, Belgium for the Last Post ceremony. The pure commemorative silence from the crowd was unreal and a moment I'll never forget.
Favourite children's song: Bingo, because I love anything relating to dogs!
Peter is a musical 'jack of all trades'. He has played in all manor of bands and ensembles on various different instruments including piano, bass guitar, drums and trombone. He is the Head of Performing Arts and Music at a secondary school in York and writes highly creative compositions and arrangements in his spare time.
Greatest musical achievement: teaching his eldest daughter to improvise on the piano.
Favourite children's song: Old MacDonald (because who doesn't love making silly animal noises?!)
Dean is a superb trombone player and competition winning brass band conductor with a wealth of experience playing in all kinds of different ensembles. Currently he is blasting out funky, pop, party tunes with the fabulous Backstage Brass.
Greatest musical achievement: taking Crofton Band from the third section to championship section within five years and becoming national brass band champions in the process.
Favourite children's song: 'Wiggle Freeze' by the Jolly Lollies
Ruth trained in Vocal Performance at the London College Of Music and has a wealth of experience in session and studio work. She teaches private vocal lessons, audition preparation lessons and volunteers her time teaching at a local after school singing club. Ruth is passionate about using music to instill confidence and encourage social interactions between young people. She has been involved in various musical theatre productions over the years with her most recent appearance in Hairspray at the Harrogate Theatre in 2019.
Greatest musical achievement: representing my University by performing at the prestigious O2 Empire, London.
Favourite children's song: Five Little Ducks (my daughter Aster's favourite!)
Craig is a highly experienced musician playing brass for various ensembles, Head of Music at an outstanding secondary school, conductor of community choirs and brass bands, Harrogate International Festivals Trustee and father to his own little noise maker.
Greatest musical achievement: Being the Musical Director of Tewit Youth Band, where over 100 young people came to play as part of a brass band every week.
Favourite children's song: This Old Man (because he's multi-talented and can play lots of instruments)
Ben is an exceptional guitar player with many years experience playing in bands and working as a solo singer songwriter. His main job as a Primary Headteacher doesn't seem to get in the way of him extending his huge catalogue of amazing original songs, and being super-dad.
Greatest musical achievement: playing with the renowned Maisie and the Thompsons
Favourite children's song: 'Rock-A-By Your Bear' by The Wiggles
